Patriarchy holding back women

Rhea-"Hello Cherill"!what are you doing these days"?

Cherill-"I am working as an charted accountant and what about you?"

Rhea-"uuhh!i left my job beacuse i had to go along with my husband as he had got a project abraod."

Cherill- "oh!"

This small conversation between two friends clearly states a society where women sacrifice their dreams, for men.This is how patriarchy holds back women. Patriarchy is a social system in which men hold primary power and predominate in roles of political leadership, moral authority, social privelage and control of property. Many patriarchal societies are patriliniel, meaning that the male lineage inherits the property and title. At its simplest,the term means, the absolute rule of the eldest male member of the family.          For centuries, they have been denied the opportunities for growth in the name of religion and socio-cultural practices. At the social-political plain,women suffered from the denial of freedom even in there homes.

A women in Indian society has been a victim of humiliation, torture and exploitation.Men predominate the Indian society, hence women are a victim of male domination in the respective sphere of life.

Now a days women are making a change by fighting against all this instead of bearing it all. Each one of them has a womder woman inside them,just never let it die.
